Today in class we turned in our world leaders project and looked all together to check if we all got the same people. I think this was a great use of class time. I feel like this is something I would use in my future and it was good information to just have. I myself enjoyed this lesson. I'm glad we not only went over who rules each country, but that we learned more about their life. I'm looking forward to learning more on this topic!

Today in class you surprised me with a pop quiz that I was not very happy about. I hope I passed it. I wasn't ready at all. As Iv'e mentioned in recent blogs, I know very little on geography. I don't even know where Siberia or Brazil are and I defintily don't know what kind of people there are. In human geography class today, we finished dividing our regions by the various similarities they shared. My group also noticed a mistake we had been making and fixed it. That was that we weren't exactly dividing the regions to their correct category. For example, when we compared the different maps of presidential votes, we mistakenly put a few states together that weren't always 100% together. Some might have gone democratic one year while the others might have gone republic. I also hadn't picked up that we could divide them up based on weather/temperature. This caught my eye on a few states that were out of place as well. This changes things! This is what also divides us into different cultures. Today in human geography class we went over our tests that we recently took. I am proud to say that I no longer have an F in this class. I received an 85 on this test and feel very good with my work. I'm really not the F type so you can imagine that this grade sitting here for a week or two really made me a freak. After this, we talked more on the kiva.org project. Unfortunately I have not been able to make a donation yet, but will finish that tonight. I checked over the weekend to double check the people I had considered lending to, and found that both had either made their goal, or had run out of time. So tonight I will do a little more research and find another person to help out. I think this is a really great website to help those in need. It seems to be very effective. I hope you continue to make this an assignment for the rest of your teaching years!
