Today in human geography class we had a sub teacher. She seemed really strict and did not talk much. Our assignment was to study for our exams. I will gladly do this now rather than at home, because I have no motivation to study or make study sets at home. It must be something to do with tv. Right now I am in the middle of watching Riverdale Season 2. If you haven't watched it before...DO. Also watch Stranger Things because that is my most favorite show in the whole world. Sad I have to wait a whole year again for season 3. In the car today on the ride to school with my dad, we started talking about how there aren't huge books series coming out anytime soon. Book making will soon come to an end becuase people just aren't interested anymore in reading. It's a shame because I love reading. However, I also love movies. Nowadays if you want to be a story teller, writing books is not the best way to do it, but being apart of Hollywood and making movies is where it is at.

Today in class you surprised me with a pop quiz that I was not very happy about. I hope I passed it. I wasn't ready at all. As Iv'e mentioned in recent blogs, I know very little on geography. In human geography class today, we finished dividing our regions by the various similarities they shared. My group also noticed a mistake we had been making and fixed it. That was that we weren't exactly dividing the regions to their correct category. For example, when we compared the different maps of presidential votes, we mistakenly put a few states together that weren't always 100% together. Some might have gone democratic one year while the others might have gone republic. I also hadn't picked up that we could divide them up based on weather/temperature. This caught my eye on a few states that were out of place as well. This changes things! This is what also divides us into different cultures. Culture is what makes up a specific region or group of people based on customary beliefs, material traits, and social forms. Today in human geography class we went over our tests that we recently took. I am proud to say that I no longer have an F in this class. I received an 85 on this test and feel very good with my work. I'm really not the F type so you can imagine that this grade sitting here for a week or two really made me a freak. After this, we talked more on the kiva.org project. Unfortunately I have not been able to make a donation yet, but will finish that tonight. I checked over the weekend to double check the people I had considered lending to, and found that both had either made their goal, or had run out of time. So tonight I will do a little more research and find another person to help out. I think this is a really great website to help those in need. It seems to be very effective. I hope you continue to make this an assignment for the rest of your teaching years!
