Today in human geography class, we discussed more on population pyramids and how the different countries vary based on their population and pass events. we also looked at how these pyramids are always changing. Events that effected these pyramids might be wars, diseases and many other causes. The teacher also mentioned that the different ways of life compared to now and then, have changed extremely as well. For example, there are now more women today in the world then men who are enrolled in college. Back then it was a joke to say women were going to school or be a doctor. We were expected to stay home and watch the kids and tend to the house. If our jobs failed our next best was a secretary or phone operator. Great class!
In human geography class today, we finished dividing our regions by the various similarities they shared. My group also noticed a mistake we had been making and fixed it. Culture is what makes up a specific region or group of people based on customary beliefs, material traits, and social forms. With the knowledge of the different regions and why they are in that region, it can help us to define what kinds of people may live there. This is what I g...
